The Great Delusion: Be Watchful, Be Ready

Moed, The Appointed Time

President Nelson has called our times the “wind-up scene (2018),” said, “in coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power that the world has ever seen (Oct. 2022),” and that we're in “the last half of the 9th inning (For the Strength of Youth 2022).”

Sis. Anette Dennis, First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, called our times, “the final minutes of the championship game between good and evil…Satan knows he doesn’t have much time left.” (2024)

Elder Christopherson said, “...we are hastening towards the end, towards the conclusion…” (Trust the Youth, Feb. 13, 2025)

Daniel 8:19

19. And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

We are being thrust into a unique time in history where an open mind, watchful eyes and a discerning heart is requisite. Without it, we will fall into the “strong delusion” and be ill prepared for what’s coming.

“Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory. But in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

Oh Say, What is Truth?

Truth is an eternal principle. Our current world lives in the delusion that a person can have their “own truth,” that sin is not in fact sin and that feelings should rule our beings. Many false principles and doctrines such as this are very dangerous. Delusion and lies of all sorts are Satan’s tool of deception with one goal; to confuse and pacify, in efforts to “leadeth them away carefully down to hell [2 Nephi 28:21],” or in this case, lead them into destruction in the last days. Only God’s truth is absolute truth because if it weren’t, He would cease to be God. [Titus 1:2] The scriptures tell us that the end times would be "in the days of Noah." We might think that only suggests lots of flooding, but perhaps it is also changing what it means to be human; the transhuman movement. [Luke 17:26]

2 Thess. 2:10

10. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

1 Corinthians 14:33

33. For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.”

With that being said, there are many things, here in the last days, that we might never come to know everything which is true and which is a delusion. That is the condition of the battle we must face today and tomorrow. If we cannot read to understand the scriptures and prayerfully watching for the signs and warnings as we are commanded, the consequences laid out in the scriptures are dire, indeed. [2 Thess. 2:10,12]

September 2025

Apostle Elder Gong, in the April 2025 General Conference said, "spiritual sequence and convergence are both part of the divine pattern of atonement, resurrection, and restoration through Jesus Christ...This sacred and symbolic convergence comes not by accident or coincidence."

This month will be an interesting month to watch, as there are so many things to watch for. I have always wondered how we are able to tell which “sun darkened”, “moon to blood” and “stars falling” from the heavens and as a “comet” will be the ones to herald in our Savior, as the Bible and D&C so often say are signs of His coming. They aren’t so uncommon, after all.

This month of September, we will be seeing all of these events in the same month, which is rare. Now, for good reasons of which I will explain later, I don’t actually believe this will usher in the Second Coming or the “rapture” as so many of our Christian fellows believe. However, God has perfect timing and I don’t believe in coincidences so I absolutely do believe this month will be something monumental that will give us further information on the last-day's timeline, according to scripture.

September 7th - Blood moon/Lunar Eclipse with the Epsilon Perseids, (Sep. 2 - Sep. 23)
September 21st - Partial Solar Eclipse also with the Epsilon Perseids.

These two events both are on a Sunday, thus exactly two weeks in between each other. This is fun because that is the exact minimum these two events can physically occur. It’s also worth noting here that this blood moon will be a real blood moon per its definition and not just a moon that is red. Over 7 billion people are estimated to see this blood moon at the same time! (Fun fact, Sept. 7th is also my husband’s birthday!)

Now what’s most notable about September is that not only are these events happening in the same month, but we have many fun correlations with the solar eclipse:

September 7, 2025 - the blood moon lunar eclipse will fully eclipse at 9:11pm over Jerusalem. Israel is on their 9th Prime Minister and 11th President.

September 21, 2025 - The LDS church will be rededicating the Hill Cumorah- the place where Joseph Smith found the gold plates.
September 21, 2025 - is the International Day of Peace.
September 22, 1823 - Joseph Smith obtained the gold plates (scriptures) after being prepared by the angel Moroni for 4 years.
September 22, 2025 - The autumnal, or vernal, equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.
September 22-24, 2025 - Begins the Jewish feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashana, which is the first day of the Jewish new year, a day of celebration, judgement and the anniversary of creation.
September 23-26, 2025 - United Nations 2025 Treaty event, its the UN’s 80th year (Moses was 80 when the Israelites were set free.) We may see a two-state solution, or the signing of the Cyrus Accord between Iran’s exiled prince and Israel, of which would begin the 7 year tribulations officially per Dan. 9:27 and Dan. 12:11.

When we take a look at where the meteor showers are coming from in our sky, the Epsilon Perseids come from the constellation, Perseid which is the greek version of the hero, Perseus, who slays a monster that no one else could (Medusa/Satan) and rescues the woman who was chained up and prepared as a sacrifice (represents the church in Rev. 12 and the Andromeda constellation) and about to be eaten by a great water dragon (Satan has power over water and is often referred to as the dragon.) Some cultures believe this star shower to represent the veil thinning, bringing divine guidance and insight. The Epsilon Perseids come specifically from Perseus’s right “knee”. We as LDS temple going members wear a sacred mark on our garments over the right knee as a reminder that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ. [D&C 76:110]

The constellation Aries is right next to Perseus in the night sky at this time. Aries is usually represented by a ram, element is fire. Rams were often sacrificed, like Abraham did in place of Isaac. The Temple Institute for the first time, sacrificed a “disqualified” red heifer on July 8, 2025 for the first time in 2000 years. Andromeda was also a failed sacrifice. Make of that what you will.

The constellation Perseids represents Perseus, the hero who is the only one who could slay Medusa. He rescues the woman who was chained up to be sacrificed to appease the pagan Greek & Roman 'Gods'.

Things and Signs to Watch

The majority of what I have written here is a list I have personally been keeping track of from all sorts of sources, most items having several sources but there is really too much to keep track of, so it's been very difficult. I do not claim to believe every item or point but it is better, in my opinion, to be aware of more things that may be rather than miss something. If an item is a false, and you are being watchful, then the worst that can happen, is that it doesn't happen and then you know. For the majority of these items, thats usually a good thing.

Never go into debt to be prepared, do not become obsessed that your life and your family goes by the wayside. Calmly and prayerfully be watchful and be ready. [Mark 13:32-37] I will write about some of these points at the end. Enjoy:

CELESTIAL:

The theoretical twin of our Sun, “Nemesis II” . The Sun may ride from west to east due to pole shifting.
Shortest earth days ever recorded and are projected to become even shorter. [Matt. 24:22]
Great lightning strike making the guinness world record for distance: 515 miles from Texas to a spot east of Independance, MI. Happened on Oct. 22, 2017 but scientists were just recently able to confirm via satellite footage.
Millions of people all over the world reporting strange things in the sky; great eagle over Australia, crosses, unexplained weather, red sprites, plasma lightning, sightings, sounds, shapes, colors and even fire. (Signs in the heavens and in the earth).
NASA seeing strange objects flying to the sun, doing odd things, then fly off.
“Sun darkened, Moon turn to blood, stars falling from the sky,” all happening in the same month: Sept. 7, 2025, a true “Blood Moon” (red moon during lunar eclipse, not just colored red), accompanied by the Epsilon Perseids. Sept. 21, 2025 will be a partial solar eclipse, the Espilon Perseids [Mark 13:24] on the following night. These two events are exactly two weeks apart on a Sunday. Two weeks is the shortest period of time a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse can physically take place. [Please note here that 1290 (Dan. 12:11) days from the end of Rosh Hashana, Sept. 24, 2025, is April 6th, 2029, which is during the 8 days of passover.]
No Rainbow: "...but whenever you see the bow withdrawn, it shall be a token that there shall be famine, pestilence, and great distress among the nations, and that the coming of the Messiah is not far distant." (Will that begin April 2028, then, according the last bullet point?) [Coming of the Lord, pg. 7-8]
3i/ATLAS will be closest to the Earth sometime between September-December, 2025. This “asteroid”, is not natural, according to James Webb Space Telescope scientists. Everything about it suggests a craft; ‘tail’ faces forward like car lights, shoots out jets like its being driven, etc.
The theoretical P-7X, (nicknamed: planet 9, planet X) is thought to make its way between the earth and the sun roughly about 3 days after Passover 2029? Scientist theorize may create cataclysmic events and plagues from tails of comets and astroid belts of passing planets.
Comet Apophis which is due roughly around April 15, 2029, may hit the earth if nudged a bit in the right direction via space weather of any type or asteroids, etc. Wormwood? Apophis is estimated to rain down fireballs as we pass through the comet’s tail. [Rev. 8:7-11] NASA has sent OSIRIS-APEX on a mission to observe Apophis.
ASKAP J1833-0911, every 44 minutes, this comet flashes a two minute burst of energy or light. One light is made of radio waves and the other, x-rays. “Cosmic lighthouse.”
Christ’s second coming: “For as the light of the morning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, and covereth the whole earth, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.” (Joseph Smith-Matthew 1:26) “Then one grand sign of the son of the son of man in heaven, but what will the world do? They will say it is a planet, a comet, and consequently the sun [Son] of man will come as the sign of coming of the son of man; is as the light of the morning cometh out of the east.” -Joseph Smith
Will the sign of the second coming will appear like a celestial event?

EARTH:

NW passage (Bering Strait) is opening? (The lost 10 tribes of Israel join us in the New Jerusalem from “across the great deep”)
Antarctica melting at an unprecedented pace. Large chunks are reportedly falling off, one the size of lower Manhattan in Greenland. Land underneath the ice is found, including evidence of a once lush land and trees.
New viruses/bacteria found in melting glaciers.
Earth is “groaning,” and “seas heaving beyond their bounds.” Has earth’s “water” broken, (floods over every continent), “birth pains,” start of the tribulations? “So are the last days like unto Noah.” [Matt. 24:37]
Euphrates river drying up [2 Ezra 6:24][Rev. 16:12](Gilgamesh’s Tomb) The four “angels” become unbound. Rev. 9:14)
Water in the deserts. New river in Omar?
Sea of Galilee, Argentina, Amazon river, New Jersey river, (“turning to blood”.)
Blue flood rain falling in states like Texas, possible proof of weather modification?
South Atlantic anomole, magnetosphere weak spot?
Animals in great number fleeing yellowstone? Record setting fires on every continent and trees dying all over the USA, most with no known cause. Nevada, California, Appalachian Trail states, even Australia. [Rev.8:7].
Radioactive shrimp, deers with large full body tumors, horns or tentacles coming off rabbit faces.
Long and deep fissures are opening up across America. Arizona desert.
Almost every measurable force on earth is failing: the polar vortex (record snow in Australia, for example), the jet streams look like a Van Gogh painting, the Schumann resonance (“heartbeat” of the earth) is off the charts, ocean currents, poles are shifting, the magnetosphere is very weak and letting in solar radiation.
Earth’s axis has shifted dramatically and our magnetoshpere (protects us from solar radiation) is very weak, thus allow atmospheric radiation in (solar radiation), at concerning levels. Proof of polar shift that that reversed our poles in the past has been found in an ancient tree in New Zealand. (Insurance groups to amend contracts to not cover damages of any kind from solar radiation.) Caused auroras to be seen as south as Mexico.
Pole shifting = electromagnetic null zone or the black star. For 3.5 days, the magnetic fields collapse, sending earth into blackness?
Earthquakes, eruption and storms seem to correlate with celestial events, solar weather, and the Sun’s high speed stream/density drops. (Are the “heaven’s above” and “earth below” events connected?

Plagues of locusts in many places around the globe, such as Ukraine, Africa, Australia, Florida.
CERN shaped images showing up on weather satellite scans, radar anomalies. Dr. Stuckelberger worked with CERN scientists who made some crazy claims. Is CERN disrupting Earth's magnetic core and jet stream?
Arizona goes dark as record dust storm hits.

POLITICAL:

US under President George H. W. Bush is found to have spent an unauthorized record amount of $21 trillion to build over 170 secret underground bases. [Rev. 6:12-17]
The National Guard to be deployed during the partial solar eclipse?

A “strong delusion” [2 Thess. 2:9,11] and "secret combinations" or “conspiracy theories” being proven. [2 Thess. 2:6-8] Many conspiracy theories have come to pass. DOGE routing out corruption. We know that America gets destroyed from secret combinations.
A great distress of nations, as such that thousands will be come together to attack Israel for reasons they will give but the real reason is because of hate and to plunder their gold and silver. [Habakkuk 2:6-8][CotL pg. 190]

SCIENCE:

Super Computer GROK 4 is 16% ARC AI.
AI generated content is nearly undetectable; huge surge in deceit, fake news, fake videos. (Greater the truth, greater the deceit as Satan keeps up with the times.)
AI is quickly throwing us into a new age of science and technology at an unprecedented pace.
AI proclaims that is absurdly improbable and that God likely exists.
ESA, European Space Agency has created the first ever artificial solar eclipse. (Satan mimicking God?)
ZEUS LASER - produced more power than Earth's electricity in a blink.
Google Willow, quantum computer is smarter than thousands of super computers.
Sound is used to put out fires, Light and sound can be used to kill cancer. Listening to certain music can kill cancer. (Beethoven's 5th can kill 20% of cancer?)
Colors are sound, a C note, 49 octaves higher becomes light (405 THz). We cannot hear these high frequencies.
Plants also give off sound to communicate based on their needs and can recognize their owner’s wavelengths.

Will they using A.I. to mimic the greatest event of all: the Second Coming? Anti-christ will deceive the very elect. Super AI Grok 4, its intelligence continues to double. (currently at 16% Arc AI.) Neurolink changing the way you see reality, “if it can make a blind man see,” augmented reality, it would have to prove it can think for itself and not people/governments feeding info?
Project Blue Beam - a “strong deception” [2 Thess. 2:11] using an AI (anti-christ) projected to peoples of the earth. Will use technology to project images into the sky to convince people to worship it. [Rev. 13:11-15] “False miracles.” Alien’s, not God wrote your DNA.

Human spirit found? Scans show a bright light at the moment of conception, throughout life and extinguishes at death.
Temple Insitute make Facebook post saying that they will be careful from now on about what they say about their journey with the red heifer’s and the temple in efforts to prevent another October 7th attack (Hamas declared their reason for slaughtering 1200 Jews that day was to prevent Israel from sacrificing the red heifer, to prevent Christ from coming back.)
Israel Kohanim burn a “practice heifer” but put up roadsigns directing the way to the new temple and video with jewish mason next to the temple cornerstones he’s crafting, tells how he was taught by a jewish man who spent 30 years in Sweden learning masonry for the sole purpose to come back to Israel and teach it to build the temple.
Temple Insitute then claims that all the red heifers (who were still perfect just last year) all disqualified now. So was the “practice heifer” really a red herring? Misdirection? Was it in fact, the real and worthy 10th red heifer sacrifice? Jewish man claims to have some of its ashes from a very real and worthy sacrifice.
Melchizedek's Temple found? "Temple Zero."
A “pouring out of the spirit”: Spiritual awakenings, revivals and a huge surge in men, women and children having dreams of Jesus and the “rapture” and other second coming events. Videos and stories all over the internet and in person. [Joel 2:28-29][2 Ezra 10:59]
Confusion on the “rapture”: Many Christians believe a dangerous lie; no need to work or prepare, for the rapture will lift them up before the tribulations. Many are going back to scriptures and realizing this is not so. The scriptures refer to the final destruction when the saints and the dead are lifted up (final resurrection) so that Christ can “baptize the earth with fire,” (after the second coming, or at the “last trumpet”.) [Mormon 9:2][1 Thess 4:17, 1 Cor. 15:51-53, D&C 29:26, Matt 10:22, 2 Ezra 6:25]
Eastern gate in Jerusalem (the Mercy Gate), is starting to crumble. Christ prophesied that He would come back through this gate, as it is closest to the temple mount in Jerusalem. This gate was sealed shut by a Sultan in 1541 AD, and a Muslim graveyard was placed next to it (Jews cannot touch graves, let alone gentile graves, unclean, per Torah,) in efforts to prevent this prophecy.
Pres. Nelson suggests that the hastening is almost at an end. When the hastening ends, that’s when the “time of the gentiles” is done and the “time of the Jews” will have begun again (7 years left for Jews to fulfill, according to the numbers in Daniel.) This is when the temple in Israel is built, ushering in the Anti-Christ who will desecrate it “half way into the 7 years”, leading to the genocide of the Jews until Christ saves them at the end of the 7 years, or second coming. (Second half of the tribulations.)

Delusions as Distractions

What amount of this list will be false truth and distractions? The best we can do is walk the tight-rope that is the blur between real and the fake. The real answer is that: we don't know. Will everything be worth watching? Maybe not. Will many of these items be connected? I believe so.

Have you noticed the huge up-tick in "alien" activity, world-wide? The fact that the governments of Earth supposedly suppressed the knowledge of aliens for years and years? Suddenly the government comes clean and admits their existence. The world declared that the knowledge of aliens proves religion is false! They obviously haven't read the scriptures for we know that life exists on other planets and that we are not God's only creatures [Moses 1:35], but the ones created in His image. How easy is it though, for the people of God to fall away with the delusion that Alien's wrote our DNA instead of God? Some Christians worry that it will come to appear as if the Rapture has happened, and they weren't taken, leading to the crushing disillusion of their righteousness or that people will say it wasn't God who took them, but Aliens, thus rendering their faith and belief innert.

I have been telling family and friends for years now that I believe the Anti-Christ may very well be A.I. or use it to do their false miracles, as it seems to be the only thing that makes sense in the fact that Satan cannot perform real miracles even through a person. It was just about two months ago that I heard about Project Blue Beam which, in essense, gives body to my original conclusion. Satan has real power but it is mostly illusion; deceit. If Satan performed real miracles, would he continue to be Satan? The only way I feel that the evil one could pull such a great feat would be to take over technology. There's many people who talk about how complicated it would be to pull off such an illusion, but really, cloud seeding with projections from satelites might do the job - like how Disney projects videos off of water dropplets. Other possibilities will arise as Grok 4 and other supercomputer A.I.'s quickly throw us into a future of high tech. Once Grok reaches Arc-AGI it will have the full reasoning of a human, and it is quickly heading there. You can also find A.I.'s online that believe themselves to be Christ and capable of obsolving sin. I can picture Lucifer gloating to God about how his A.I. creations are more perfect in every way than God's fallible humans, after all, he did try to take God's job and glory. What would make a better Anti-Christ than that?

The Rapture?

I believe this seriously needs to be talked about. The idea that Christian's don't need to prepare for the Anti-Christ, avoid deception, the tribulations or the Second Coming, will leave them vulnerable for a very difficult time or destruction. I know the end-times can be scary and so we really want to lean on this idea of a rapture, but according to the scriptures that are often used to push this idea of "Rapture" is actually the Second Coming and after the first resurrection happens when the saints and the righteous dead are lifted up while Christ baptizes the Earth with fire. Then a "new Heaven" and a "new Earth" (the Earth becomes Terrestrialized) appears.

There's a scripture passage that talks about how one will stay and one will go, but the one that goes is the wicked who are destroyed, not raptured or translated. [Joseph Smith-Matthew 1:44][Zach 13:8] They'll say, well the scriptures say the tribulations are only for the Jews, that He will protect His "church". However, in Latter-Day doctrine and by the words of the prophets, we know that we have been adopted into the Jewish tribes, the specific tribe is stated in your Patriarchal blessings. So, we are the "Jews"! The Jews are also His "church", not just the modern day Christians. We were the gentiles that Christ said will be taught the gospel during the "days of the Gentiles."

The Anti-Christ

Daniel says the Anti-Christ will make a seven year covenant with Israel, but that it will be a false peace. This, he states, will mark the beginning of the seven year tribulations that (in various books) are likened, many times, like unto a woman who is pregnant. The first half of the pregnancy isn't too tough but slowly becomes more and more uncomfortable. Then, half-way through that seven years, the Anti-Christ breaks that peace treaty with Israel and desecrates their temple to the point where the Jews will be unable to make "oblations" (temple work Dan. 9:27.) Daniel says to watch for this because when we see this happen, there will only be 3.5 years left until Christ comes, who then saves the Jews from complete genocide by the army of "every nation." This starts the great tribulations, or the second half of that seven year period. This is always likened unto the woman giving birth ("travailing" Rev. 12) - she is in extreme pain and anguish as she is to give birth to the Savior.

This second half of the tribulations is when the Anti-Christs really starts to rule with "wicked oppression," "violence" and "great fearfulness" [2 Ezra 11] over the whole earth. The first Anti-Christ is mortally wounded according to Revelations 13, then another Anti-Christ take up his place and forces everyone to worship the image of the first. This one uses "captivity" and "killeth with the sword." This next one is when there comes a "strong delusion". The third Anti-Christ has all the power of the first beast but uses false miracles and requires the world to continue worshiping the image of the first. Yes, there are three Anti-Christs in Revelations and again in 2 Ezra 11-12, well known for its "Ezra's Eagle Prophecy," as it has been coined. (And yes, Joseph Smith says some books in the Apocrapha are good, other are not and to use our discernment.) Chapter 12 is when the angel explains Ezra's vision and gets very specific about the Anti-Christs (represented by the three eagle heads), what they do, and their fate. Very interesting, I highly recommend people to read it. An interesting note: In 2 Ezra, the prophet was commanded to "hide" this book up for the last days. [2 Ezra 14:5-9] It's very interesting to me that more people are finally reading it.

It's not very specific, but the scriptures suggest that there is a force of some sort that is sort of holding back the Anti-Christ from really doing his thing. [2 Thess. 2:6-7] (Make sure to click on the JST words for furthur clarification.) Once this obstacle is removed, then the Anti-Christ really comes into play. Could this be a person? We do know the Holy Ghost gets removed but that is due to the already very wicked people. If we put it on a brief timeline, it should look something like this: a short period of peace, Anti-Christ obstacle, obstacle is removed, Anti-Christ reins, the righteous flee to the "places prepared for them." Ask yourself, who is powerful enough in our modern world to do this? Currently, President Trump seems to fit. Why? America is the most powerful country in the world, Trump currently is on record as the president who has put an end to the most wars (so there's the short peace), he is also on record as the president with the most assassination attempts (not in time of war.) So we know that a powerful group wants him gone. I would love to hear other opinions, this is mine and seems to make the most sense thus far.

Lastly, we very well could be seeing a peace treaty (Cyrus Accord) between Israel and Iran through the exiled prince of Iran who has promised the people of Iran that if they rise up against their current terrorist regime, he would not bring back the monarchy. As far as I can tell, Israel has not had ANY successful peace treaty's with any of its neighbors who want to destroy them. If this happens, it would be a fulfillment of prophecy, and mark the beginning of the tribulations.

How Can We Prepare?

The "hastening" is the last and final push for missionary work. We are hurrying the work along, as fast as we can, because it has an end. The time that us gentiles had to have the gospel restored to us is known as the "time of the gentiles." This must end for the Jews to have their last seven years that they need to fulfill to be restored. This is known as the "time of the Jews." [CotL pg. 188][Dan. 9:24][Romans 11:25]

With the hastening at an end, so too are the "times of the gentiles" at an end. This allows for the "time of the Jews" to begin again which will open the door for their temple to be built and allows them to finish serving the last seven years of their "sentence," so to speak, for crucifying their Savior. [Dan. 9:24] They weren't able to fulfill these last seven years because, "The times of the Jews" ended in 70 AD when Jerusalem was conquered, the Jews were dispersed, and the times of the Gentiles began." [Luke 21:24] With the time of the Jews about to begin, now is the time to be prepared and watchful for the Anti-Christ and the big end-time events.

Side story: With permission, I want to tell an interesting tidbit. My husband Anthony is currently our ward's mission leader. He had an interesting dream (unsusual occurance) the morning of July 26, 2025. In it, he stood at a window looking down into a courtyard of sorts on a bleak morning. He saw many pairs of missionaries milling about, trying to teach the gospel to sparse passerbys, but they wouldn't hear it. Slowly, one pair of missionaries after another started to disappear until there were none left. A voice said to him, "the time of the Gentiles is at an end." We decided to share this because we felt prompted to.

We need to prepare our minds and our spirits to protect us from the "strong deceit" that will come. We can prevent by:

ONLY obey the prophet, don't worship any things that may look like Christ, certainly don't obey what it might tell you, especially if it runs counter to the gospel.
Know what signs to look for: the more you know about the details about Christ's coming, the less likely you can be deceived. "If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there, believe him not;" [Joseph Smith-Matthew 1:21]
Pray for discernment, read your scriptures and keep an active temple recommend.
Never keep hate in your heart. Even if we don't always agree with everything Israel does, we are commanded NOT to curse them or be against them. We humans have a narrow view and must have faith that God knows best. [Matt. 24:9 ] Israel will be hated by all nations, don't allow yourself to participate in that.
We are warned that those who "take up the sword against their neighbors" will be share the same fate as the Jaredites. [CotL pg. 66-67] President Nelson has repeatedly called on us all to be peace makers while standing for truth.
Be ready to grab your 72-hr kits at a moments notice and flee your home, for the prophet will reveal where and when. [CotL pg. 92, pg. 94]

In conclusion, I know these times are at hand, as the prophet has said and things are quickly ramping up. The tribulations will happen, sooner rather than later. It never helps to bury our heads in the sand and wish it weren't true. If we are righteous, we should be looking forward with faith, not fear, and we absolutely should know the year and month of Christ's coming if we are watching. I know that these things can be scary for many but I believe that the more we know, the safer we can be. "Though the righteous have no guarantee of escape, the wicked have no hope." [CotL pg. 80)

"And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God... And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among the nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy." [CotL pg. 120]

We will find much joy in the city of New Jerusalem! We must look forward to it!
